What: THE JELLYBEAN CONSPIRACY tells the story of Cricket, a bright girl at a new school, and her brother Tom, who has down syndrome. As the school year begins, Cricket meets a new friend named Reece, and they begin to conspire to cure Tom's down syndrome. However, Cricket learns to realize that Tom is not something that needs to be fixed, and is, as Tom puts it, a jellybean in the great glass jar of life, yearning to hear the words "This jellybean is just right." In addition to this story, THE JELLYBEAN CONSPIRACY is also comprised of poetry, monologues, multimedia, and dance that will ultimatly leave the audience understanding the important aspects of love, family, loyalty, patience, and above all, acceptance.
