Poem: Rise Again

Mar 19, 2019 11:15

In amongst all the ash and dust,
All the cloying dirt that suffocated my flames,
That reduced me down to embers,
I find my hope, my kindling, my catalyst,
And I awaken, releasing all my potential,
All my energy as heat until I burn once more;
There's alchemy in my heart,
And it transforms me and rejuvenates,
That like the phoenix,
That like the sun,
I may rise again.
