(no subject)
i know you all are just dying to know how my meatloaf turned out. it was deee-lish (very moist, but a little crumbly, oh well).
the ultimate x-mas cd didn't happen. i got as far as loading most of the albums onto my computer... and then got totes distracted... for the rest of the week. this christmas just didn't feel that christmasy. i guess there were a few reasons why that was, but don't get me wrong, we had a really nice time. our family dinner/presents/white elephant is always x-mas eve and usually it's an all day thing. this year, though, mom made chili in the crockpot/pressure cooker so there was minimal kitchen time which means minimal stressed-out mom time. yay! dinner was yummay too, and for desert we had an amazing chocolate-raspberry-hazlenut cake. i'm still drooling. present haul: clothes/jewerly, giftcards, a little printer for my digicam, a facial + massage from mom n' dad, and a paid flickr account from spike so now i can post my pictures in style. i'll keep you posted after i set that baby up. x-mas day we went to see a night in the museum with los marquas and i don't care what anybody says, i liked it! tuesday we went into the city for jessie's surprise party, and then yesterday we went back in to see the gee's bend quilt exhibit at the deyoung (very neat). we spent a whopping 1 and a half hours there. i swear next time i'm taking the day, which probably means not going with my family. and in other news i'm trying to organize (ha) stuff for spain because omg i leave on tuesday which is in 5 days if you can't count. yay! also, i want to consolidate my internet activity [ie email, blog, pictures, etc?] any ideas? is that even possible?
still trying to decide what to do where to go for NYE2K6 an all i know is i wanna dress up and dance.
is that too much for a girl to ask? i think not.
