you cannot tell me that they are not PERFECT for one another
Just finished rewatching season 2 of Warehouse 13 (and re-analyzing all the HG Wells/Myka moments, as well as discovering a few new ones I missed previously), and ohmygod, show.
One of the reasons I loved season 2 so much more than season 1 was the Myka/HG dynamic. (Something which I think will disappear, because I can't foresee HG being in more than one episode in the next season - but a small part of me hopes that she'll come back to the team in season 4, newly reformed and go on ~adventures with Myka and have more hot lesbian sex shared ~just do me now~ looks). I also loved how much like a family the entire team has become - the father/daughter relationship between Artie and Claudia is precious, and I love the Pete/Myka brotherly-sisterly relationship they have. And I hope that the show keeps them as friends, because it's so difficult to find a show that doesn't turn the male and female leads into romantic interests for each other, and I really like their dynamic as close friends. (This is partly why I still have trouble accepting Booth/Brennan and Beckett/Castle).

Moments I Enjoyed Throughout the Season: (Mainly HG/Myka, but with some others splashed in there as well).
S02E01: Time Will Tell
- I really liked the scene where Myka refers to the Regents as "Neanderthals" for bronzing HG Wells, because she flips through some newspaper clippings and finds that Wells supported women's suffrage, etc. And then not long later in the episode, HG uses the exact same word. And you can see the wheels turning in Myka's head, because Myka's face says it all - how she's all like here's this bad guy, and I know she's bad, but maybe we are kind of the same. I felt like this was one thing that connected them instantly, from the beginning.
S02E07: For the Team
- Seriously, these two kill me with all the subtext going on. It's so blatant I want to call it maintext, because you don't have to squint for it or grasp at straws. Six episodes of no HG Wells and then she's back... and do you see how close she's standing to Myka?! She's at least twice as far away from Claudia.
- I love that so many things are affirmed in the same episode. For example, Myka's, "What are you going to do, yank me up into the sky?" is followed by HG using her Grappler. ♥
- I love HG's smarmy expressions.
- I've said it before and I'll repeat it again, later, but Myka and HG really relate to each other. If HG was a guy, you know that SyFy would have already gone there and made them couple up.
- I'm disappointed the Post-It scene wasn't included (it was the only deleted scene that episode!); it makes HG's gift to Myka ten times more loaded with meaning.
- I love that they already exchange glances and they've known each other for like, two hours.
- "Agent Wells. Who is also an agent. Under me. Does whatever I say."
- Who else loves the fact that Myka just reaches in and grabs HG's grappling hook like she's done it a thousand times before because you know they totally have?
- SILLY SMILE. SILLY SMILE ON MYKA'S FACE BECAUSE OF HG'S NOTE.
- ANOTHER SILLY SMILE ON MYKA'S FACE, ALL BECAUSE PETE SAID THAT SOMETIMES PEOPLE CAN SURPRISE YOU, AND MYKA WAS TOTALLY THINKING ABOUT HG.
- Everyone's hooking up - Pete with Kelly (♥), Artie with the Doc - and Myka is totally like, staring at the grappling hook and wishing she could hook up with HG. You cannot tell me that this is not a parallel.
S01E08: Merge With Caution
- Jill! Jill from Women's Murder Club!
- I cannot get over - Joanne Kelly and Eddie McClintock are so good! They imitate one another perfectly. Especially Eddie McClintock, omg.
- LOL MYKA IS A ~LADY PLEASER. Poor Pete looks worried about what she might've said!
S02E09: Vendetta
- She asked to be bronzed! I don't remember this from the last time.
- "I've been looking for it since 1894." --- SHE IS SO SMARMY I CAN'T EVEN DEAL WITH IT.
- Artie is being so - ugh.
- LOL I love how Pete just rolls his eyes and interrupts their "I know you know I would know" moment (definite eye!sex going on there! And I love how Myka always has that little half-smile going on when she's with HG) - he totally treats them like a real couple! And that he wants to be in on the loop when HG shares some info with Myka.
- HAHAHAHAHA "Great, two Mykas."
- Love that the only thing that got through to Claudia was that Todd is a techie. XD.
- Oh, HG. Artie doesn't even care about you!
- HNNNNNNNNNGGGG Myka's face and voice when she asks if HG has been bronzed?
- I hate that Artie was proven right, in the end.
S02E10: Where and When
- "Do I make you nervous, darling?" LOL.
- "I make her nervous." I love the first five minutes of this team meeting. SHOW, WHY ARE YOU SO AWESOME?
- "Oh, it's Helena now, is it?"
- BAHAHA Claudia & Pete are such kids together.
- That's convenient that the Time Machine has two seats. XD.
- HG was holding Myka's hand - like, hand. She touched Pete's arm, but was definitely holding Myka's hand. ♥
- "You're teacher's pet every decade, aren't you?"
- "You guys look freaked out. Did something happen?" "No!" LOL.
S02E11: Buried
- Pete and Kelly are too cute.
- "She's a tech nerd, she's a hundred and fifty, and you're... Myka." LOL Pete.
- "I know a thing or two about the opposite sex. Many of my lovers are men." I love everyone's reaction to this - Claudia's face, Myka's knowing smirk (you cannot tell me they are not secretly doing it behind everyone's backs!!!), and Pete's "We're going to follow up on that at a later date."
- Totally not the right time, but did anyone else notice that when Pete yells for them to come help Mrs. Frederic, Claudia came from one side, while Myka and HG came from the same side? Myka & HG sitting in a tree were totally having girl!talk and being BFF-ly together!
- I cannot get over how good Jaime Murray looks in that suit.
- LOL MYKA I SEE YOU CHECKING OUT HG WELLS IN HER AMERICAN FILMMAKER'S-IMPRESSION-OF-LADY-ARCHAEOLOGISTS' OUTFIT.
- HG brought her grappling hook! AND she gets to use it!
- Oh, HG. And Myka. The fact that when she goes into her dream state, she thinks of Artie and the Warehouse...
- Pete found his happy place! ♥
- I like how after HG shoots both Pete and Myka, they only pan to Myka's knocked-out face. They might as well say "HG JUST SHOT HER LOVER!"
S02E12: Reset
- "She played us! She played me." Regarding the commentary for this episode - I love that Joanne Kelly (and everyone else) address the subtext in the scene.
- Artie is totally lying to Claudia, isn't he?
- I like how once Pete receives the picture of Kelly and the lab, Myka's mind jumps to HG.
- Oh, HG. Don't you know that if you had really meant to use the trident, you already would have?
- I love how HG talks in proper, grammatical sentences (how very English of her!) - "the world in which you live" LOLLLLLL.
- From the way HG is talking, it doesn't sound like she had planned this since before she was bronzed (unlike what Artie had thought). It sounds like she only planned it when she realized the world still sucked. Not that that's any better that she planned it later, obviously.
- "You wanted us to follow you and stop you" - Myka speaks the truth!
- MYKA. KISS HER NOW.
- HNNNG THIS SCENE.
- Question: How does HG raise that trident and slam it down when Artie is writhing on the ground in pain? They did injured in the same place, didn't they?
- I wish Pete and Kelly wouldn't break up!
- ROFL "Just because that worked on HG..."
- "I put the entire world in jeopardy" and what she wants to add is, "Because I fell in love with HG Wells and didn't see her nefarious plans!"
- Myka. Myka leaving her happiest place. :( They all lost their happiest places, didn't they?
Notice that Myka allows HG to point a gun at her head, but not Pete when he's paranoid (a much earlier episode), even though they've known each other for much longer.
