Shifts, that is. Two more and it's on to the hallowed shores of St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. Needless to say, I can't wait. I'm fed up w/my current situation, as the things that have always bothered me and seemingly everyone else who works here that possess a shred of common sense are only getting worse as we slog through the flu season and all the joys they bring.
My shifts have been made even harder by the fact that I've been spending so much time w/Megan since she got back from her holiday at home, and work has just become something that interferes w/our time together. I missed her so much while she was gone, and having her around so much has been such a blessing. Unfortunately, our respective breaks from school have fallen smack dab in the middle of two really busy weeks for me, so we still don't get quite as much time together as we'd hoped. Seems to be a recurring theme for us, but things will be much, much easier now that I'll be working so much closer to 'SC.
Speaking of 'SC, props to the Trojans for hading Oklahoma their butts in the Orange Bowl and resoundingly laying claim to the national title. Scary thing is, they'll be even better next season even w/o Leinart.
Speaking of guys named Matt (I'm, like, the segue master here), we celebrated Jerky's impending nuptuals last night, which wound up being more of an occasion to hang out than a proper bachelor party, which was fine by me. We played poker (I ran the table against all these brainiacs. HehHehHeh...) then had the holy mother of all Halo games, which I would've done great in had my partner Dan, aka The Brute Squad, been able to hit anything. I decked my Space Marine out in Trojan-esque Red and Gold, and brought the Admantium Rage on everyone when I found some sorta alien sword that has extreme killing power. SWEEEET!!!! It was fun just getting a handful of my favorite people together, and I'm hoping now that so many of us are literally living on the same block that there will be more such occasions.
Gotta go do some work, or at least a reasonable facsimilie thereof. Be good, my little droogs.
