Hello ladything! I am glad you are recovered from Evil Flu!
Dollhouse was PHENOMENAL. It pretty much completely blew my face off. I LOVED and was completely intrigued by the complicated Saunders-Topher conclusion to season 1, but I never dreamed it would become half of the season 2 premiere! I have always loved Topher with reckless abandon, and noted every nuance of his character, and the idea that he had designed an imprint that he would be around every day to hate him was so poignant and awful and heartbreaking that I didn't know what to DO with myself. And THEN, Joss blows my mind by revealing that he actually DIDN'T do that, and Topher's kind of in shock from these waves of hostility and hatred rolling off of Claire, but you can tell he kind of feels he deserves them, and it's just one big delicious mess of angst and existential crisis! Fran Kranz and Amy Acker were absolutely phenomenal. ♥____♥
I also concur that Eliza ate her acting wheaties, because she did a fantastic job this week. She and Jamie were the most exquisite duo, both when dancing oh so sweetly at their wedding and when fighting in the study - that scene was so intense and moving and well done, wow. Two of my most favoritest TV actors come together! THANK YOU JOSS.
Paul is a terrible hero. Joss is very, very aware of this. &Joss;
I have a bit of a hero worship thing goin on, if you hadn't noticed. ;)
Also, BIG BANG THEORY!!!! I generally despise sitcoms, but BBT just has so much heart and warmth and it makes me laugh every five seconds, almost without fail. I am so very, very endeared by Penny and Leonard and their awkward fumbliness. And Sheldon is just the most darling person that I would never, ever want to deal with on a regular basis, haha. But he is very precious. I'm glad you're enjoying it :D
ME TOO. However, it appears I have managed to infect my entire family unit, so well-played me.
OH MY GOODNESS, RIGHT!? I had completely forgotten it was premiering this week, and when I dragged my diseased ass out of bed Saturday morning my father refused to speak to me until I saw it. Gahhh, it was so good. That scene between Saunders/Whiskey and Topher did actually kill me. It's so nice to see my irrational love for Topher validated by his incredible work and developments in "Epitaph One" and this most recent episode. \o/
I only watched the first season of Battlestar Galactica but it still made me flail and laugh to hear Jamie Bamber's accent. APOLLO'S TALKING LIKE A BRIT. It made me giggle....and also the scene where he attacks Echo was insanely good. Gahh! I really thought she almost got away with it.
Adele mocking Paul's intentions made my cold little heart warm so much. Dude, if all of Dollhouse S2 is this good, I may just die. Happily, but I'll still be dead. You are quite welcome to hero-worship with me all night long, baby. \o/
Yeah, there are exactly two sitcoms I can think of that I enjoy: Arrested Development, which almost doesn't count because enjoying it appears to be a requisite for internet citizenship, and How I Met Your Mother -- which, much like TBBT is much sweeter and works far better than it should. That description of Sheldon is the best ever. I would like to observe him from afar. Afar. God love Leonard. I seriously doubt I could live with Sheldon and murder him. I'm glad you recced and uploaded it! Gotta say, your recommendation is what pushed me over the edge and made me start it. <3
