What's this? A public post?? Been a while since we've had one of those 'round here.
First, let's get it out of the way: the obligatory reaction to The Disco Divorce. Kept brief because I'm sure you all have read 34,857,203,945 posts about it already. It's upsetting for obvious reasons. But I'm not surprised that it's gone in this direction. The writing's been on the wall for a long time. It bums me out, man, even moreso because Brendon/Ryan were -- and in many ways still are -- my OTP. I'm irritated that they didn't manage to keep it together, I'm annoyed that Brendon and Spencer are keeping the band name, I'm excited to see what PATDv.3 is going to do, but ultimately...that's all there is to it. All good things, right?
I'm definitely not going to lock down any of my fic or whatever; apparently some people are doing that? Don't understand why.
And now, a diversion! iamtheenemy did this last week, and I'm doing it now.
