Inaugural Celebration
I'm glued to the TV. Just to have an inside eye on all of this is amazing. I have never felt such a sense of satisfaction for my involvement in our Democratic system. So much has changed in 100 years, 50 years, 20 years! I wish my Papa was alive to see this. We were raised in such different worlds. I want to talk with him about it.
To me, to see these people so united and proud to be part of this country rather than ducking their heads and going on absorbed in their daily lives is what moves me. This is the spirit of the country that is constantly waved around as an excuse to meddle. This is really it, right here.
The Obamas are such an attractive couple, both with great smiles. I wish them the best.
