A comment on F--'s journal @ y!gallery by a fursecuted furry artist. This is rich:
The admins dont seem to be artists themselves nor havent had their art tagged as Prohibited. It was a heartless maneover pulled off by immature kids playing admins. Seriously, they should have had the public pitch in ideas or at least warned us about their little plan. But that prohibition is just gutless of them. I wish they all feel the same way we did when we saw that announcement and fucking realise their stupidity. Doesnt this seem familiar? Back to world war 2, concentration centers simular to their little anthro club for subjections they just created. Yeah, you know the word....

This is in reply to Fel's journal entry in which she said that the anti-furry jeering along with the admin's decision makes her wonder if she was ever truly welcome on the community in the first place. Now, on one hand, I sort of feel sorry for her. There's this huge witch hunt mentality in which several very loud members of the site are rooting on the anti-fur sentiment when it's not really the admin's intention. The administration of the site is pro-human on Y! but that doesn't make them anti fur. They've opened a support community to hear and help furry artists as well as suggested other places in which they can post their art.
Existing Furry art has not been removed.
Furry artists can still comment (obviously).
Also, they can post their furry art to the Extras feature, which, while not searchable, does still allow your watchers to view and comment on your new art. You just need a place in which to host it.
Furs have not been dropkicked out of the community.
Furs =/= Jews
And if I was a jew, I'd be insulted.
