Horriday Treats
So we went Christmas shopping yesterday afternoon. Our first stop was Mo Iikai, the (only) local anime/manga store in the sprawling suburbia that is KC. The store always makes holiday shopping easy for friends, so long as our friends remain tried and true otaku. We even found some goodies for Momma Barr there! The real treat (aside from pawing at all the nifty merchandise) is all the free stuff the owner heaped on us o_o I swear, every time we go there, she gives us a gift and I walk away feeling as giddy as a fangirl.
This time, she gave us: Two Bleach cards (Isshin and Tsubaki), a gashapon figure pair of Genshiken characters!!!, and a little pin of Cap'n Tiny for my hat.
I really need to find a way to make it up to her ^^ I think I'll make some gift art of her store mascot or something. Perhaps something very professional that she can use for advertising and the like. She's so sweet and kind, not to mention very generous. I just can't get enough of going to that store! It's a pity we don't live closer. On second thought, it's probably a good thing.
