teaching assistantship choices...

so after stressing about what i might get to teach (if anything), it looks like i have 2 offers on the table: 'myth and imagination in ancient greece and rome' ["about myths and mythology in comparative perspectives and their influences on modern literature and art"] and 'arts and ideas' ["this introductory course acquaints students with aspects of the fine, performing and new media arts from various interdisciplinary perspectives"]. i'm sure that either is perfectly fine (okay, so the 'ancient greece and rome' thing seems an odd match - but i don't know much about the performing arts, really).

the major difference, though, seems to be in the scheduling - the second lecture hour of 'myth and imagination' has an inconvenient overlap with a class taught by shannon bell on 'postidentity' (the link isn't a perfect match, but you get the idea...); but depending on the tutorial hour that's available for 'arts and ideas', it'd be absolutely impossible for me to take jonathan warren's class on the theory and practice of camp. if i'm forced to choose, though? i'd probably take 'postidentity' over 'camp'.
