i dream of a box-set-collection of alan moore comics made into films . i imagine that by the time i am 50, this dream will have been realized. i also realize that i may not live that long, so lets hope it comes sooner (rather than later)
btw, do you want to see v for vendetta on friday night? gimme a call - after 5 and before 11 on thursday. i have your phone number somewhere, but i can't find it.
um... word to the wise. fridays are out. kaputs. i'm always workin' late fridays. and then i have to work relatively early on sat. sometimes (if i know in advance) i might go out for a drink somewheres... but lately its been dancin'.. and thats just a godawful shame (not because i don't like to cut a rug, but because there's nothin worse than having to move around when you're godamn tired from a hard days work). but tuesdays and other days are good for me. weakest, eh? i must read more stuff then. watchmen was definitely better. if they make that into a movie with some super old dubya as president in the distant future...that would just be awesome.
yeah, i'm kind of eager to see it now. but i can almost wait a few weeks or until DVD since there are some other good movies playing at cinemteque.
granted, i haven't read his 'swamp thing', 'whatever happened to the man of tomorrow', or 'miracleman', but i've heard that both are spectacular. 'watchmen' is right at the top, in my books, with all 5 volumes of 'promethea', and 'the killing joke', 'tom strong', and 'top ten' are all superb. 'v for vendetta' might simply be weaker because he wrote it when he was so young - about 25 years ago.
