It's the moooost wonderful time of the year...

The house has been festooned, snow is on the ground, the Coke commercials are on, presents have been bought, wrapped and placed under the tree, festive food has been made, and still--still!--it doesn't feel like Christmas. I don't think I like that much.

Last night, my mother and I attended my brother's band concert, then took him out for ice cream to celebrate the fact he did not pass out and made most of the notes, sans squeaky noises, on cue. We dropped him off at home around 8:30 and then drove around the entire night. We went to Lowes to pick out paint for the guest room, (it's a very nice pastel green. I like it, however, I think the "thud" I just heard was my mom dying after seeing it actually on the wall.) Wal-Mart so I could buy presents for my friends, and then...I don't know. We just went around. It was suddenly 11:30 and we thought it might be best to get home to check on David. So we called him and then went to get some food. It was a nice evening, full of bonding and stuff.

...strange? It made me miss my dad even more than I do already.

Later today, I'm going over to Mike's to watch some movies, and then Melinda's to watch the Big 12 Championship (Go OU!...??) with the rest of the FCA, and then I might or might not leave early to go catch a movie with my posse. That is a lot of watching.

AHA! A month or so ahead of schedule, I have my New Year's Resolution: Getting a full night's sleep sometime within the next decade or so. My non-sleeping hasn't bothered me much, but I woke up this morning realizing I am PMS-ing, craving salt in a scary, scary way, and in need of some serious zzz's. I wonder if there's a 12 Step Program out there for me.

There was one for the Muffins.

Peaches!
