basically, i decided that lumping like-minded stuff together would be a better idea, as it's more likely to actually attract people to the gigs, even though i really am just thinking out loud in terms of lineups at the moment. i told Sam about this and he said that although he, by next summer, probably wouldn't be allowed to play (which i pretty much said "duh!" to), he'd still like to get involved, as he's my dude. so i said he could curate a day, albeit with my input, as i'm clearly taking Tellison off him and making him have Nat Green. he laps them up anyways. plus, if i have Sam onside, i'm more likely to get the ROTA show. i think he wants to DJ too, which'd be ace at both ROTA and the club night. the punk day has a +1 more on it, because although there's a million bands i could ask to play that, i want to find another Southern, preferably London, band. i like the mash up of the Leeds punk rock style stuff, and the, well, i guess Big Cheese kinda stuff because it kinda stops it being too similar to OOS. now, if i can just find a band another band like The Steal, who straddle both camps, from London/the South to open it, that'd be rad. the other two days speak for themselves - awesome. i'm gonna look into this place in Bethnal Green called The Pleasure Unit before i try for the Rhythm Factory for the East London show, as i think that might be a bit too big a venue, and not in-keeping with the intimacy vibe going on.
seriously, anyone that sees this...FEEDBACK PLEASE. am i wrong tree barking up in thinking this could be the most awesome thing i ever do?
