How can you read so many WIPs and keep track of what's going on in each? There's no way I could do that.

I dunno. I don't read *that* many WIPs. I actually don't read that much fic at all. And of the above only a couple are still in progress--most are finished and I'll just sit down and read them start to finish.

Did that chapter not absolutely KILL you with awesome? I think I left them a novel of a review. It broke my heart and then put it back together again. It is ridiculous. Those two need to just... like... write. Every hour of every day for the rest of their lives, preferably forever and ever, amen.

Yes, the awesome is lethal in that one. And Fury was always one of my favourites from unfolded73 anyway, so the idea of then punting that to fid_gin was just...genius of the highest calibre.

Having those two around and writing constantly remind me that I need to always up my own game. They're just too good.

Complacency's really not an option in this fandom... You can't really settle into a rhythm and be content that you're going to be at the cream of the crop, you know? I suppose fanfiction's not supposed to be a competition but in my mind... everything sort of is. And... yeah. Authors like fid_gin and unfolded73 make sure I keep my butt in gear when it comes to writing.

And they're not the only ones that can make me drop my jaw, you know? That's the thing. I adore this fandom. *squishes it*

orange_crushed is absolutely a treasure, isn't she? I've been reading her since way back when she and I were both sparrabethers, and she never ever disappoints.
