Hello there, kidlets!
As you may have known prior, I'm one of the two pre-mediwizard training professors. Now, Professor House and I have discussed how things should be run a bit, and we've mutually agreed that we would go against the usual Gryffindor/Slytherin and Ravenclaw/Hufflepuff class configurations. So, Professor House is going to teach both the Gryffindor and Ravenclaw students, while I will be teaching the Slytherin and Hufflepuff students.
So, if all you Slytherin and Hufflepuff students that feel so inclined to learn about the art of medicine,
you should sign up for my class~ You won't ever feel bored in my class - honest~!
So, this class is going to be quite interesting as far as things look from here.
4th and 5th year students can expect to learn several maladies that can hinder people from leading relatively normal lives. At least, those that are inflicted by magical animals and plants, as well as a couple of tough but basic inflictions of hexes and curses. First aid will also be taught in case anything minor happens.
6th and 7th years can expect to learn about more severe forms of maladies caused by hexes, curses, botched potions, various poisons, so... we'll also delve into the various prescribed potions, poultices, charms and spells that are used to heal the myriad of things we'll be studying. Ah, and we'll also be doing reviews on first aid, as well as delve into probably little-known techniques that can help save a life if you're in a pinch.
Both sections will not only be doing theoretical studies, but also apply their theoretical work to a more hands-on experience. As to how that will be done, you'll have to come to class and see for yourself, but it should be good enough experience if you are seriously considering this field, even more so for the 6th and 7th years.
