Bad Vibes
This summer is actually shaping up. I've got a job interview, I've got a regular gig, and I've got plans. I'll be playing at Cottonwood Canyon on Friday evenings with Travis Reuter. If you want to come watch or sit in, we'll be playing from 7-10 on most Fridays. There's a good show going on in Iowa City tomorrow night. Sightings, Gospel, Meneguar, and Raccoo-oo-oon. I haven't heard Sightings, but Gospel, Meneguar, and especially Raccoo-oo-oon are great. There is also another performance going on that same evening that I would like to catch. It will be an Iowa City all-star jazz lineup featuring Curtis Madigan - guitar, Paul Kresowik - drums, and Bridget Kearney - bass. Oh and some asshole named Mike Pfaff playing vibes. This guy comes complete with middle school goatee action, terrible sense of latin rhythmic feel, and an overwhelming ego. Seriously people, this guy sucked when I saw him around Des Moines, we'll see how he is after a year in Boston, MA.
