I can't speak for its other divisions, but the Associated Press' political content is not worth reading, and will often misinform you outright. I reach this conclusion after months of following its political coverage from a very well-informed perspective. AP political content is starkly out of touch with reality, especially in domestic political news coming out of the Washington Bureau under Ron Fournier. The traditional media are seldom excellent, but equally seldom are they as piss poor as this. Do yourself a favor: If you see a political news story with an AP byline, don't waste your time.
