to disappoint the expectations or trust of AND to miss performing an expected service or function for.
They say you hurt those you are closest to... Right on.
Christmas time. All I asked for from my Mom's brothers and sister in laws was that they give me 1 memory of my parents. I didn't care how they got it to me (e-mail, handwritten, video taped, audio recorded, etc)
2 people who were my Mom and Dad's very good friends (of no blood relation) fulfilled my Christmas gift request. My Mom's actual blood relatives, not one submitted a memory to me. There was no mention of being busy and working on it or getting it to me later. Nada.
*shakes head* Didn't think I was asking for a whole lot.
How do I feel?

hurt
alone
I did however get to spend Christmas evening with some amazing people.
