In destitution and desperation, I organised a meetup of IT folks at the city park today. All I had to do was turn up early and do the meet-and-greet so people would know it was the right place and would hang around until critical mass was achieved. It was going to be a massive job fair, or at least bring a lot of opportunities together in one place.
