Get mah networking mojo on
I decided that if I'm going to be a business-type guy, I'd need to get some kind of leg up on the business types who've been schmoozy-cruising since I was in short pants.
Thus: joining a number of networking sites.
Site 1 (personal): mainly previous co-workers. 12 direct links, maybe a couple hundred people at two degrees.
Site 2 (business): 15 direct links, a hundred thousand second-degree. Someone out there takes their networking seriously.
Got out of the house for the second home open, and went to vote in the State elections. The papers are predicting a close call. As of the time of writing, the polls have closed, counting should start shortly, and results will be posted at http://www.abc.net.au/elections/wa/2008/guide/latest.htm
