The removalists have confirmed delivery for tomorrow between 1 and 2pm.
Mobile phone reception is really variable in this place. It must be a combination of the surrounding sandhills and the construction materials in this house and the neighbours', because I can go from zero to 100% reception just by walking five feet. Odd.
I'll need to take a hammer to the bent support hooks in the back wall of the garden. Which means I'll have to get some tools to replace the ones I gave away in Canberra. Fortunately, post-Father's day is probably a good time to catch a lull at the hardware stores.
I seem to be much more susceptible to the wetter cold of Perth than the dry cold of Canberra, whereas
megpie71 hardly feels it at all. Strange to be the one feeling the cold.
The local shops, five minutes' walk away, run yoga and Pilates classes, but I can't seem to find a good afterwork/weekend Tai Chi group nearby for love or money. The closest ones are either on the other side of the river, or almost in the city centre itself. Fiddle.
There's a jumble sale down at the local church in early October - we might be able to pick up some bits and pieces there.
