The Road starts November 25 actually, and from all I've read and heard according to preliminary screenings, the movie's been made very well and also was made faithfully to the book. :)

I'll fix it, thanks! If it's faitful I have to assume there are scenes they will not include! I love McCarthy but his imagination is so horrifying* sometimes.

There's only one scene not included (showing the baby). Other than that, it's all in. He is gruesome, but could it happen? Scary thought.

The baby was the bit I hoped not to see. I've heard they were talking about making Blood Meridian and as amazing as that book is, I don't think I'd want to see a version that did much more than allude to certain things.

Have you seen it? The Road, I mean? Or have you just read reviews?

No, I haven't seen it yet. I've just read tons of reviews and also write-ups from people who've seen it at screenings. I'm like you - it will be terrible to see, but an awesome movie if it's been done correctly.
