I have not posted about movies in a while!
Of note in horror, even though October is two weeks gone (if only Ministry ruled the world and everyday was Halloween!).
Suspiria! My first Dario Argento and I have to argue that it does not, as I have read, contain the most brutal murder scene ever. (That's still Pan's Labyrinth for me!) And it was a bit cheezy and the production quality was not amazing, but it clearly earns its cult status from being awfully pretty! Colorful and saturated. Also, while the score was sometimes too loud, the music itself was pretty awesome, industrial and catchy.
Last House on the Left (2009) If you skip the rape scene, it's a pretty good film. Nice cinematography, actually. Teriffic suspense! Dad almost made me cry during one bit. My only complaint apart from the rape(seriously, that scene is awful and we even ff'd through it) is the last two minutes, which were gratuitous and out of place and, the Captain feels, implausible, though for me plausibility was second to wtf-ibility.
Under the categories of things I haven't seen, why have I not seen this and when can I?!

And not-movies, I've been watching Nevermind the Buzzcocks lately, which is so many kinds of awesome and absolutely hilarious.

Somewhat related and also not movie and just because it's awesome and I can: Captain Cabinets.

Finally, to make my icon relevant: FINALLY, a real date for
The Road. Nov 25! It's going be wonderful and awful, and if it isn't they won't have done it right.
