Scully wants to believe

X-Files was good times. It was like a good double episode, but with more kissing. A good episode, not a great one. There was not enough X-File to it. The guy was a psychic, woop-de-doo. Not that I wanted aliens or anything, the alien arc was never my favorite, but something weirder would have been a bit better.

The schmoopiness was actually nice. It wasn't overboard. I was a little confused because the trailer makes it seem like they haven't worked together/seen each other in a while, but apparently they live together? So. And there was some dialogue that, much like the show in the later seasons, made me wonder wtf they were talking about and real people don't say things like that.

Um. But no, actually, it was good.

Did I mention SKINNER? Oh, the Skin Man. And a little Skinner cradling Mulder in the snow action. NICE.

Good times.

I was thinking it would be super nice if this spawned more features. A bunch of them. Like lots of long episodes. And even nicer if maybe the next one didn't take itself quite so seriously. (Maybe Darin Morgan's not busy?) Unfortunately, it was not the most popular flick at our theatre. :(

x-files, movie
