I was going to write about work but, um, didn't.

I don't understand why people put words like "eyes" and "nose" and "arms" on icons with eyes, noses or arms in them respectively. We all know basic human anatomy, and it seems to me the image should be sufficient to draw the attention to the appropriate bits. If not, find another image.

I was channel surfing on a particularly un-busy day last week when I caught sight of Rodney and John and thought, why not? In the few minutes I watched, John had a great big bug stuck to his neck, presumably sucking the life out of him, so they poured water on it. Hilarity ensued! All the while Rodney, unconcerned, was asking for something to eat.... I love all of my friends, but I'm finding that one must have something really special to be a part of the SGA fandom. SGA folk, I salute your courage!

I'm really missing Supernatural. I may have to treat myself to the first season just to fill the gap. Also, on my way to work this morning I passed by a black van for sale, the oldskool sort, and I wondered how it would look with a Barbarian queen painted on it. She'd be riding a polar bear.

X-Files! Finished the fourth season last night with Gethsemane, which was not as affecting/shocking as I remember it being the first time. But the other night we wathced Elegy, which has some wonderful, wonderful Scully moments! There is a string of serial murders and all of the victims have been seen as apparitions moments after their death. Mulder theorizes that each of the different people who saw these apparitions could do so because they were near death themselves. Only he says this to Scully not knowing that she also saw one of the victims! (FYI, for the non-x-philes, at this point in the series Scully has cancer.) The look on her face and her need to not believe him is heartbreaking. And when she finally tells him he is angry that she kept it from him, but sad. And she feels she let him down... and is sad because she doesn't want to die. And even though I know she survives it still gets to me. :(

There are pics here since I finally decided to use my gallery tags and not clutter my post.

Last night (or this morning, really) I had a dream in which I got into an argument with someone, and I felt so passionate about it that when I woke up I was still formulating my next point.

dream, x-files, supernatural, sga is not for wimps, tv
