Finished the second book of the Abarat today while waiting for class to begin. I am glad of this for two reasons. 1) It was an awesome book and I can't wait for the next! 2) Now I can start reading O'Brian again! Huzzah! I only set him aside because I was hankering for some real romance/sex/death/magic, instead of imagined romance/no sex/death/no magic (except the magic of good prose!). Then I got on that Barker kick and... well...
On the bright side, I'm stretching out the experience!! None of this 'over too soon' for me. So The Far Side of the World it is.
