-learn to drive
-learn some chemistry
-clean out the #$@ing house
-exercise
-play Brian's violin part for Fade to Black at least once
-get a haircut
Russian-related:
-be the best research assistant ever for Professor Dianina
-learn to cook Russian food from Andrushka's mom
-speak Russian all the time with anyone who understands it
-read Tolstoy: all of War & Peace, new translation of Anna Karenina, plus whatever else is going to be on the syllabus next year

I feel like I really don't care, which would horrify my fifth-grade self.

other, probably most important goal for practical reasons:
-quell irritation induced by mother just enough so I don't go on a rampage

most important and exciting:
I leave for Alaska on Friday morning.
I'm staying there with an old Russian woman.
