Pronounced Deceleration in ECRI's Weekly Coincident Index

The ECRI Weekly Coincident Index has now slowed more rapidly to levels last seen at the end of last year when there was quite a bit of double dip talk in the press and among economists, even including the Fed, than was underway during that second-half slowdown. Also, it appears that there was not very much bang for the leading index's buck for the strong rise in the Leading Index that occurred from roughly September 2010 through this spring:
