CNBC Took Another Hit Last Week

Mar 30, 2009 03:05

As that over this past decade, CNBC has completely allowed itself to become the channel of Kudlow the Wingnut Cheerleader and Cramer the Clown (THEY "are CNCB") and in doing so, losing any real claim to impartial reporting,  now this -

Washington Post:

Outspoken CNBC Anchor Dylan Ratigan Quits
Dylan Ratigan, who hosted the nightly "Fast Money" roundtable and co-hosted the afternoon show "Closing Bell" with Maria Bartiromo on CNBC, has abruptly quit the business network.

CNBC gave no reason for the exit, and Melissa Lee is hosting "Fast Money," which is airing right now on CNBC. Lee will be Ratigan's replacement at least temporarily, the network said.

"Dylan has told us he is leaving effective today," CNBC spokesman Brian Steel said in an e-mail. "We thank him for all his quality work."

Here's Ratigan's spicy take on how the crisis happened. Over the past few months, Ratigan has argued for greater transparency in the government bailout programs.

And here's Ratigan beating up on his colleague, CNBC Silicon Valley reporter Jim Goldman.

His bio and photos were quickly removed from the Web site of the NBC Universal-owned network.

Let's hope Ratigan quickly finds a home with a network that appreciates journalism,
and not B.S.  CNBC is determined to out fox Fox News, I swear.
