And aww yeah, Jared was already so, so gone for Jensen at this point, and well you know, they are Jared and Jensen, and I think they would have that ease with each other, even if not all the cards were on the table yet, and they weren't of course there at that point. But yeah I like to think that irrespective of time/universe that they would always just have that instant bond/chemistry whether it be friendship or something more :D:D Their "them-ness" is transcendent!! ;P lol
It pleases me that you liked Jared and Genevieve's conversation too. Initially I had thought he'd have another conversation with Danneel but when it came to writing this part, it just felt right to have it be Genevieve this time. And it was fun getting to give her more of a voice in this story. I'd definitely like to explore her more as a character in the future :D

Danneel and Jensen banter, I can't remember if I told you already that it's my favourite thing to write, but it is!! lol like I actively have to fight the urge to make EVERYTHING J2/Danneel lol though I do want to write more of that relationship too, but you know lol

And yeah Jensen did need time and space before he could allow himself to forgive Chad. And well you know it was important to me also to not just villianize him, you know? And he is a good and lifelong friend. And you're right Jensen isn't the kind of person to throw that away :D:D
You are totally making me grin like an idiot and do a little happy shoulder shimmying dance with the Cocktail Night and girls appreciation, you beautiful wonderful happy shiny soul that you are!! And yes Chris knows when to step in. He wants Jensen to be happy and he sees how much Jared makes him happy, but he can also see how much it was hurting Jared to not have Jensen completely the way he wants at this point as well. And yes. Also at the same time Chris didn't want to spook Jensen, you know? Push too far and maybe push him away from his feelings. Better to give Jared a little nudge and let things play out a little more naturally lol
