Things have calmed down a little bit with Martha, but it's still very awkward.

Over the weekend I basically did homework and went shopping...both for the sole purpose of avoiding Martha like the plague and getting over my anger. The shopping turned out to be a fortuitous event...let's just call it Retail Therapy: Nerdy Cosplayer Edition. I think I'm about to state the obvious here, but...I love fabric stores like a fat kid loves cake. I got some more patterns, and I picked up some drapey black fabric that will work fabulously for Real Mayar's cape and Noda Megumi's black cowl dress. (Yes, I'm going to cosplay Noda from Nodame Cantabile. It will be a remarkably easy costume. Nobody will recognize me. I don't care.)

Also, I keep forgetting about this, but a couple weeks ago one of my professors put out a big box of 20-year-old sewing patterns she's trying to get rid of...

This is the hilariously 80s jacket pattern I picked up.

This is Kaneda's jacket in Akira

I don't know when this is gonna happen, but it's gonna happen.
