Missed Opportunities
Humanity will never realize its true potential so long as it is busy pursuing money, power, and fame (yes, even on a small, everyday-guy scale).
The possibilities of what we could do if we all worked together toward common goals that benefit all are amazing. We would have significant technological and medicinal advances. We might have already cured cancer, left fossil fuels behind, and sent men to Mars. There would be no world hunger or extreme poverty either - we would be sharing technology that would help people help themselves.
The means already exist… they just aren't mainstream because they don't make profits.
