Federer vs Djokovic
Federer lost. He was beaten in three straight sets. 7-5 6-3 6-7.
This is how I am feeling now: :(
I cannot believe this. Damn my stupid jokey prediction yesterday! I can't comment much on the game because I only saw bits and pieces of it (argh @ work and disagreeable siblings), but Djokovic was in front every time I caught sight of the television. I just couldn't understand what was going on. People around me at work kept saying that Federer would perform a miracle and end up winning like he always does, BUT IT NEVER HAPPENED. For a moment I thought it would because, when I arrived home, it was 6-6 and the beginning of a tie break. I thought that this would be the point where Federer would turn the game around and kill Djokovic...or at least win a set. Instead he lost the tie break. :( I really believed that he could have won that set...or maybe it was false hope. I probably shouldn't even be that surprised that he lost. His games have seemed a little shakey for someone who is meant to be so dominant. :/
Obviously my interest in the finals has now diminished a little...I'm still going to watch it though. Number 3 vs 38 (who just comes across as amazing and effortless) will be quite interesting. I really want to see Tsonga beat Djokovic too. My rationale for this is 'my enemy's enemy is my friend' aka Tsonga may have slaughtered Nadal, but Djokovic knocked Federer out. It's stupid, but I don't care. :p Now that I've said this, just watch Djokovic obliterate Tsonga. That'll teach me about taking an interested in sport!
It's just my luck that the two players that I was rooting for lost, both in three straight sets. Why did I have to take a sudden interest in tennis now? If only I had payed some attention to those past tennis competitions, I wouldn't have to watch my favourites lose. I'd be watching them win instead! XD However I fear that I might not be seeing any of them win anytime soon either. Time for new favourites then! ;)
