The Official Open AU FAQ Post!
In the comments to the last post there got to be some discussion about open AUs, canonicity, and who knows what about which universe. And I thought it would be a very nice idea to have a post with general information about the different AUs, so that we are more or less on the same page when it comes to where things take place, and general factoids about what we have done with the characters in the AU setting.
I am going to include an example of what I mean in the comments, for the academic!AU; you can be as sparing or as voluminous in your own comments as you like. Please do include whom to ask for permission to write in open AUs; most of the AUs are listed as open but in general the creators would like to know if you want to play in them.
I'll update this post with links to comments if/when people post them! It will also be linked in the info page for future reference.
