WTF Wednesday - Round 90

Oct 14, 2009 09:44

Okay, these are going up mighty late, and that's all my fault. I finally got a break from school work and decided to get distracted with video games, rather than write these up. That means you'll probably be getting round 92 and this one all at once. Let's begin:

  • Here's a good ole internet classic. If you haven't seen this (or something like this) in the past before, then you absolutely must: Drumline Meets Revenge of the Nerds. Something about people marching out Tetris, Pokemon, and Mario makes me very happy.

  • DUDE. If I had known about this week 89, I would have totally posted something about it!! WHY DIDN'T ANYONE WARN ME NASA WAS GONNA BLOW UP THE MOON? Anywho, if you were like me, you caught this on TV... and it was infinitely anticlimatic. Oh well.

  • ...In fact, the best part about blowing up the moon was this clip. When I realized what happened in this clip, I laughed long time.

  • OH HOLY HELL WHAT THE CRAP IT'S THE FUTURE. Disney autonomatronics figure can sense if you're happy. BUT HOLY SHIT IT WILL BUST A CAP IN YOUR ASS IF YOU'RE NOT. ._. Seriously though, the bot freaks me out.

  • Epic Princess Peach status update. As in Facebook. The final comment set me over the edge.

  • REASONS WHY I LOVE JTV, RIGHT HERE. So this came off of one guy's channel I watch (Vrictor, the guy in the upper right hand corner). And oh my fucking god, WHAT did you say? XD Mario speed runs and quickies, a comparison. Oh my god, I am in public and am giggling away.

  • I know you guys love music, and free stuff, so here's both! You can download I Love the 80s fresh from Amazon... but of course there's a catch. You'll just have to click the page to find out what it is.

  • I DON'T THINK THIS WAS THE WAY THEY WOULD HAVE WANTED TO BE REMEMBERED. But we can't all be Napoleons or Alexander the Greats or Ghandis. Here are 8 people who inspired words (for embarrassing reasons).

  • THIS IS JUST FUCKING PRECIOUS. Daniel Radcliffe meets the biggest Harry Potter fan in Japan. Her reactions are epiiiic and she's just so cute. It's even better when she meets Rupert Grint and Emma Watson in this video. SHE JUST DOESN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH HERSELF AT ALL.

  • WELL HOLY HELL, IF THEY LOOK LIKE THAT... Hospital clown images "too scary". "Decorating children's wards with paintings of clowns to create a nurturing atmosphere could backfire, research suggests. A University of Sheffield study of more than 250 children, aged four to 16, found the images were widely disliked." WELL DAMN HOMIE. Don't put frikkin Pennywise up!

  • ...Omigod shoes.

  • And what the hell is wrong with you if you have this much of a temper, huh? Enraged teen allegedly beats family after cellphone is taken away. There doesn't seem to be anything "alleged" about it, especially when you read this part: "the father, a corrections officer, had to use handcuffs to subdue his 18-year-old son. Police were forced to use leg shackles to get him under control." Fucking hulked out ._.

  • I'm surprised I never posted this but here goes... first watch giant girl doll, which is a stunning mixture of art, mechanics, and beauty that's just a little bit creepy. Then check out the photo journal of The Berlin Reunion, where the girl, apparently called "Little Giantess" is reunited with her "uncle," The Big Giant. Gives me the chills.

  • ...Eh? Marge Simpson to appear on the cover of Playboy. What the... flying hell. Rayne (from Bloodrayne, years ago) at least made sense. ...I give up.

  • So I was reading something a list of the world's biggest animals last week... y'know, from left to right like most of your English speakers can appreciate. I saw the horse and thought to myself, "well, hell, that's not so bad." The split second more it took me to scan to the other side of the picture was a glorious mental, "OH HOLY SHIT." If it were out loud, it would have been HILARIOUS. Okay, yes, if you do some research, you find that the photo is doctored... but it's a damn awesomely made one.

  • I leave this one for you guys to mull over: 'Twilight's' Stephenie Meyer immortalized ... in a comic book. I guess milk it for all it's worth. >_>

  • So I finished God of War: Chains of Olympus not all that long ago and ohmygod. There's a definite "companion cube" moment (cite: Portal) towards the end of the game, but it was to my delight that after posting about Chains on Twitter, Ready at Dawn Studios (the folks responsible for the port) tweeted me back. This prompted me to check out their website, where I found this little gem... and yes, it was posted on April 1st. Of course, if you're not at least a LITTLE bit familiar with Portal or God of War, then this video will make no sense to you. (Also, sorry for all the video game links today, by the way. I wasn't expecting to have so many.)

  • OH COM'MON, WHAT THE HELL. Dead deer dressed in clown costume left on porch. I only wish there was more to this truly wtf worthy story.

  • I'm sure a few of these are photoshopped, but here are 15 stupid warning labels. Gotta love 'em.

  • Ahahahah, the title says it all: Painful skateboard... no wait... ONE IN A MILLION.

  • And let's end with a gem. The Network Prank gives you a total run down of the prank at the beginning, but all you need to know is "The Network" refers to all those Verizon commercials, with "the network" following people around. This was so brilliantly done, especially since he didn't notice at first, and his reaction is PERFECT. He could have gotten so pissed but all he can do is laugh. Literally. That's the only thing he can do. I love it.
  • robots, disney, dogs, video games, douchebag, wtf, luna not so linkies, sex, science, toy, space, art, anatomy, animals, it's da future! :o, death, music, doom, sweet tech, weirdos, videos, when fandom attacks, comics, links tiem, smooth criminal, zombies/vampires, omgwant, ways in which they fail, lists, epic lulz
