HOLY CRAP. Okay, let's go. It's been too long of a day for me to preamble much:

I am torn between squealing and being disgusted by this incarnation of Jabba the Hutt. It is just so precious (and the blue bunny is a nice touch).

Okay, I caught this on TV in the past week and had to share. It's an interview G4's Attack of the Show had with William Shatner. Not only is hostess Olivia Munn hilarious (and Shatner's reaction is classic), but Shatner talks about the BALLET he's producing. About his life. With music by him and Ben Folds. I know you want to watch the interview.

I think I can rest easy about the robotic spy overlords for now.

More robots, I know. But first, WATCH THIS It's being called the "Big Dog" and it's by Boston Dynamics. It's basically a walking robot that can get over all kinds of terrain and it really is something else (when it gets kicked, it's so weird... the joints are all so perfect that it really looks like someone's in there, manually moving the thing). And despite the awesome buzz noise it makes, watch the video to the end: it really can do some wild stuff. (By clicking on the "related" videos, you can also see the "Little Dog," which looks exactly like the head crabs from Half-Life.)

Shit, I thought MY luck was bad... here's one guy who was jailed for 27 years and when DNA evidence showed that it was an incorrect sentencing, he has the misfortune to get hit by a taxi during his first weekend of freedom. "His solicitor said the accident was just one example of how difficult it was for Mr Hodgson to adjust to life on the outside after nearly three decades behind bars." YEAH, WELL, I'M PRETTY SURE THEY HAD TAXIS 27 YEARS AGO. It's not like he saw a taxi and was like, "ooooh! Shiny!" and get hit. Naw... it just sucks to be this guy.

....Though, it's not much better for these guys: two men died after a high speed chase with the police resulted in them crashing their cars into each other. Turns out they were both car jackers... and brothers. I think if there was such thing as fate, it would be "dur hurr"-ing right now.

...Though, if any of them grew up to be drunken sloppy bastards... well. It makes for a good story at least.
