SPN Ep: Hunteri Heroici

Sibs, I think we just met today's special friend.

Sorry about that. I feel like a bad fangirl for not commenting in detail on the extensive Warner Bros. cartoon references, but honestly there were too many to keep track of and I am essentially very lazy. I did have to mention the Animaniacs shout-out though, because in addition to the entire Chuck Jones era of Warner Bros. cartoons, I also loved Animaniacs. And Wacko and Sam could totally bond over their mutual clownophobia.

Speaking of Sam, the show made sure to link Sam's Amelia flashbacks to someone mentioning living in a dream world no less than four times. Do you think that could mean something? ;-) I already knew something was up with the Amelia flashbacks. The question is, did Sam generate that dream world for himself, or did someone do that to him? Because if Sam disappeared into a dream world that he created for himself, he really sucks at it. I know my little fantasy daydreams don't involve people verbally abusing me.

It was nice to see the boys getting along, no matter how brief that interlude may turn out to be. And the first thing they've agreed on in a long time is that Castiel doesn't get to call shotgun.

I also liked Castiel's attempt at being a hunter, mostly because it gave the boys an excuse to use their smarty brains. Castiel was all about Gary's recent bladder infection, while both Sam and Dean spotted that Gary was having an affair. I also liked that Dean made Castiel watch Sam to learn interviewing skills. But how is anyone in the world buying Sam as an FBI agent right now? That is so not a regulation haircut. Of course, pretty much everybody manages to overlook their screamingly obvious aliases too, so I guess the Winchesters have their own area of effect.

P.S. -- Hey, queeberquabbler, Castiel said "shenanigans!" You should make him his own sign.
