Fandom Marathon -- Day 6
No DVDs today. Not even anything particularly productive. After the exterminator came, I took myself out to lunch at my favorite restaurant, then took my Christmas gift card to Best Buy for a new pair of headphones. My fellow librarians and I monitor a virtual reference queue a couple of hours a month each, and the software we use lets out an annoying electronic alert when a patron logs on, so we all use headphones to spare our fellow cubicle dwellers while we're on duty. My current headphones are from the '80s. The cord is too short for me to do anything at my desk but sit still, and the foam earpieces are starting to disintegrate and leave an itchy black residue on my ears. So, new headphones.
I spent the rest of the day trying to catch up on my flist. I got behind while watching all those DVDs. I've read a lot of fic today.
