I'm finding the ukulele really fun to play. And it's relaxing too. There are lots of sites around that teach how to play and all sorts of stuff to dig into. I guess it's so different for me and so easy to just play around with. I've kinda always wanted to take up an instrument, even though I don't feel musically inclined. I'm toying with the idea of making Nana character Pinky Street figures. I'm not sure about the whole customizing a figure thing...I don't want to ruin a figure and I don't have epoxy to play with. I might just try to build one straight up with clay.

I've got a cabinent in the kitchen (I have lots o' cabinents) that all of the liquor and a lot of the candy has been stashed away in. It might as well be dubbed the Cabinent of Pleasure or something like that.

It's the funnest door to open.

I rented Monster House and it was better than I expected. It would've given me issues as a child though. The animation was that performance-capture stuff. I don't like it. I thought some of the characters looked odd moving while watching the movie...it's just not as smooth and definately not as expressive as just like, animating the thing ( Read more... )

Wednesday was Christmas Eve and I was busy wrapping things, trying to straighten some junk up and finishing presents. Party with family was great fun. And I got my ukulele so I can actually play it now. Christmas day opened gifts between me and JD, then went to his parents then went to my parents. We didn't get home until pretty late. Woo hoo Christmas is in a couple of days and I don't have to go back to work until Monday. And then I'll have another long weekend thanks to New Year's. This much time off is a real treat.
