I've been wanting to make this for so so so long. This is my Roslin|Baltar mix. The songs I believe are relevant to them and their feelings toward one another. It's very interesting when you take so long to put a mix together. Hope it pays off.
Born On a Day the Sun Didn't Rise by Black Moth Super Rainbow
This song really tells about them meeting one another and them being on Galactica. The sun didn't rise when they met eachother on Colonial One (I know they met before that, but we didn't see it). So it was the birth of their relationship really.
She Keeps Her Love Away by Alice Ripley
This is one of my all time favorite songs. It really represents Laura Roslin. Her feelings toward others. Especially where relationships are concerned.
Nobody Knows You by Office
Again this is Laura Roslin. No one really knows her like they know Gaius Baltar. This is them slowly falling for one another and Baltar wanting her to "kiss" him.
Head Over Heels by Tears for Fears
Old school really. Baltar is head over heels for Laura. This is them together. He's really into her, as we can tell during his dream of Laura kissing him on Colonial One after the fall of New Caprica.
Red Lights by Vib Gyor
This is the fall of New Caprica. Their feelings. Mostly Laura since she's the one who experienced it more.
Different Drum by Stone Poneys
Laura all over. Another old school song, but anytime Gaius flirts with Laura in the least, she throws it back in his face and not in a good way. They're two different people at two different times in their lives with two different paths that they need to take.
No One Does It Like You by Department of Eagles
Gaius. He's always tense, but tries to take it easy once in a while. He's tried to balance work and pleasure, but no one does it like Laura. He's tried, but he juist can't do it.
Farewell to the Fairground by White Lies
They once worked together, but once Gaius betrayed Laura, he kissed the fairground goodbye.
Little Bit by Amy Jo Johnson
The first thing I thought of when I heard this son is "OMG, It's the PINK RANGER!!!" When I got over that, I actually listened to the song and thought about how much it's like Laura. Simple and yet very Laura.
High by James Blunt
Baltar, and not because of the British accent. It's his feelings for Laura. Romantic really.
Some Unholy War by Amy Winehouse
Title Track. Her man was fighting some unholy war. Laura's feelings with Baltar's God and her slowly moving to believe what he said about the one God.
It Didn't Move Me by Peter Bjorn and John
Nothing moves either of them but the human spirit or lack there of. Including Laura not being moved by Baltar's speeches and him not being moved by her determination. So it's all done. History is done.
