I'm going to DC tomorrow! Joyce and I are going to drive up and stay with Will in his house right in the city. We're gonna be tourists, visit friends, and I'm going to check out the job front. None of these big agencies with their crazy on-line automated application processes will call me back, so I'm just going to walk in and try to speak with someone.
It'll be nice to have something to do during the day for a change. For the last couple weeks I've usually managed to have things to do at night, but during the day I've been sitting around--not that I'm complaining. The French Open is on, and I've been practicing guitar a lot (and violin not enough). The other advantage of this trip is that it will close up the waiting time on Florida Housing. I figure I can call them next Tuesday if I haven't heard anything. I'll be pretty occupied until then, so that should cut down on my anxiety.
13 hours, 35 minutes to DC. Good times. I drive slow and Joyce drives fast, so the timing will probably be pretty accurate. Oh yeah, and 560 of 874 miles will be on I95.
