Episode 19: More Rythmn!

Earlier today, there was a girl ahead of me in line to get a burger. She was becoming irritated by the sloths behind the counter when I noticed something I've never seen before. Her stance, mannerisms, and body language were exactly mine! It was the wierdest thing. I was inside her head, I immediately knew her mood and could predict her movements. Words fail at describing how in sync my brain was with her motion. It was the oddest thing. And also? Kinda hot.

That said, I am one unccordinated SOB. And my coordination is inversely proportional to my mood. On a good day I'm clumsy. On a bad day? I'm a Stooge. My general body movements are a series of over-corrections as I Frankenstien my way through life. While I have wonderful reaction time, I've actually hurt myself more than once by over-extending a joint or pulling a muscle because my body just had to spring into action on a reflex.
This is probably why I'm really good at the Thriller Dance.

And yet, I am so totally in love with rythmn games. While I would love to say that I'm for some reason awesome at these games, but no.. I Frankenstien my way through them as well. Usually I can get my skill level up to "passable" or "can play with others" but it's a very rare case that Hulk does much else than smash puny keys. The exception to this would have to be a game called Samba De Amigo. It was a Dreamcast game that came with big red plastic Maracas that you had to shake to on-screen commands. I do not know why I was the Pinball Wizard of this game. I didn't actually play this game until I saw it in tournament-play at a convention, and as a late-entry completely destroyed every other player.

Yes, I can shake plastic maracas better than you.

But you're probably a better dancer.
