Biohazard
I'm having a pretty miserable week. Got the flu last week, been off work since wednesday. It started in my poor abused intestines and cut a swath north through my stomach, chest, throat and nose. Owie :( And also, in a stroke of monumental unfairness from TPTB, I've broken the TV remote. BUT, two three lovely anonymous people have given me snowflake cookies and that has made me feel a whole world better, so thank you *unsanitary hugs*
What has also made me feel better is the amount of good fic out there atm. I've already waxed (and waxed and waxed) lyrical about Observations by anon_j_anon, but I've also recently discovered a hugely enjoyable original fic (WIP) called Captive Prince by freece. It's entirely possible that I'm the last fangirl on the interwebs to find this gem, but if you haven't read it then I definitely recommend it. It's basically a good old fashioned bodice ripper, with the exceptions of being well-written and gay \o/ It follows a lot of very popular tropes from fandom, so many I can't list them all, but here, have the author's summary: Damen is the true heir to the throne, but when his half brother seizes power, Damen is captured, stripped of his identity and sent to serve the prince of a rival nation as a pleasure slave. Awesome, y/y?
