Don't count your chickens ... or inches of snow ...
I haven't forgotten that I now live in Pennsylvania again. Yes, so far, the winter has been unusually mild, but in this state, one can't assume that the rest of the winter is going to be the same. Because I remember the winters back in the early 1980's, I have a good stock of food and toilet paper in case I'm snowed in for a long spell in February or March ... or April for that matter. I have enough food on hand to fix three hearty meals a day for an extended period of time; they may comprise odd combinations of individual foods at any give meal, but they would be quite nutritious nevertheless.
