RP: Ringing in the New Year

Summary: Damien and Soli throw a small New Year's Eve party.

After the stresses of last weekend, there was nothing Damien wanted more than to celebrate the coming new year with friends. His dad had been released from the hospital and seemed to be doing pretty well, and Damien was so incredibly thankful for that fact. He wasn't even bothered that there would be kids here tonight, thus limiting the amount of alcohol. He'd never really needed alcohol to have a good time anyway, but there was champagne and wine for the adults, sparkling cider for the kids, and beer for anyone who didn't care for the others. He didn't really think anyone would mind that liquor wasn't being offered. There were also various snacks and games set out in one corner in case anyone wanted them.
