It had been over two months since the break up, and Ezra thought that was a long enough time to wait before fixing his tattoo. A tattoo that if he was being honest with himself he never should have gotten, not so soon into the relationship. Live and learn, and now he knew better than to repeat that mistake again. Make sure things are really as permanent as you think they are before you go inking something on your body, because no amount of ink can make something work that just wasn't meant to be.
He had expected Gigi to have some kind of snide comment about having to fix his tattoo, instead she had seemed scarily professional about it. Ezra had no illusions that they would be the best of friends, but he was trying to make an effort to understand Gigi in some way. They were communicating better at practices now at least, even if they still weren't by any means friends.
Ezra had made this appointment with Gigi a week ago, had even had her look over the
Tattoo design, and confirmed that that guitar would cover the kanji symbol while he'd get 'The Joke's on Me' to hide the 'ke' that was tattooed above the symbol. He had liked the design and idea, and had even had Erica's seal of approval on it, so at least this time around he knew it wouldn't be a mistake to get this tattoo.
Stepping into the shop, Ezra fought down the usual unease he felt about Gigi seeing his scars again. It was a feeling he got whenever he thought about anyone seeing his scars, even if Gigi had seen them once before. He didn't see anyone behind the counter as he moved over to it and leaned against it, so after waiting a few more minutes Ezra hit the bell that sat on the corner.
