It had taken Ezra about a week to truly convince Neve that a dog in the house would be fine. That he was a grown adult, and he could manage to take care of a puppy, granted he was also a Loy and they didn't have the greatest track record with animals, Ezra was going to believe that he could break that curse. After convincing Neve, he had made the call to Ariel's friend Mia, the one who worked at shelter. To say he was excited was probably an understatement, he had really been looking forward to this since the moment he was given the 'okay' to get the dog, though he had yet to think up a name for the poor creature.

He didn't have any idea what kind of dog he'd end up with, though he had told Mia when they spoke that he would prefer a big dog, much to Neve's displeasure. Ezra just couldn't see himself with a little dog, even if Shelby had made some remark about getting one of those pocket dogs and how she thought that would be adorable. He kind of thought she had said it just to get a rise out of him, it wouldn't be the first time one of his niece's had tried to get a reaction out of him.

Ezra realized as he pulled into the parking lot of the shelter that he was early, and he just hoped Mia wouldn't mind too much. After parking his car, Ezra checked the clock again, and yep, still ten minutes early. He had always been of the opinion that early was better than late though, and once inside the shelter he made a beeline for the front desk and leaned his elbows on the counter. "Hi, I'm kind of early, but I have an appointment with Mia in about ten minutes." Ezra didn't exactly know the drill when it came to meeting with someone at an animal shelter, but he kind of figured it worked the same as any other place.
