Date: November 13, 2011 Characters: Miah Campbell, Charisma Gibbons Location: Miah’s place Status: Private Summary: Miah cleared his schedule for the day. Completion: Complete
Somehow during the last day and a half, Charisma had left emotional behind and all that was left in it's place was anger and betrayal at Maureen's actions, though today she was going to try her best to not think about Maureen or that whole shitty situation at all. Being with Miah made it easier to focus on other things. He was so incredibly sweet, and she was beyond touched that he'd wrestled with the coffee maker so that she wouldn't have to do it herself on her birthday. She knew her coffee addiction amused him, but she was glad that he humored her rather than giving her a hard time about it

Miah ran his up and down Charisma’s arm absently, smirking at her exclamation. “I could have told you that before you started channel surfing. Didn’t even give ‘The Real Housewives’ of whatever much of a chance though before you changed it.” He teased, and thank god for that, he wasn’t sure if he would have been able to sit through that even if Charisma had wanted to. “And the DVD collection ain’t much better as far as options go. Unless you like horror films or musicals.” Because Gigi’s tastes were strange and he didn’t have much of a habit of purchasing DVDs.
“Or hey, we could find a Lifetime movie to mock the hell out of.” He offered up with a laugh, “Not that we even have to watch anything.” They could just talk or something. He would have to remember to keep from saying anything about her family inadvertently. He knew she was still upset and had every right to be, but he wasn’t pushing the issue with her. Why would he? “Or, I guess I could go get your gift. Before I forget about it.”
Charisma snorted out a short laugh. "That would be because I can't tolerate narcissistic drama-mongers," she pointed out, and she had a feeling Miah could appreciate that. It even boggled her mind that there were women out there like that and that society was encouraging the ridiculous behavior with shows like that. "Hmm, I don't mind them once in a while, but they certainly wouldn't be my first choice." And definitely not what she would prefer to watch on her birthday.
She wrinkled her nose at his suggestion. "Or not." She didn't have anything against mocking Lifetime movies, she just wasn't in the mood for that right now. "True," she agreed, leaning forward for the remote again and switching it to a music channel mostly for background noise. "Oooh, gift! I fully support that idea," she said, her eyes lighting up just a little as she wondered what he might have got her. She couldn't imagine what he would have picked out for her, and she was excited to see what he did choose.
“So Keeping up with the Kardashians is off the table too?” Miah teased. He had watched both before, with Gigi while she was in the hospital. She liked to create commentary on the people that put themselves through reality television series; he couldn’t say he had enjoyed the experience though. “Gotcha. No horror films or musicals.”
He fought the urge to laugh in amusement at her response to the mention of a gift. It was adorable. “But I’m so comfortable, and the box is all the way upstairs” He teased leaning further back into the cushions, biting the inside of his cheek to keep from grinning at her. He was a little anxious actually to see if Charisma would like what he had purchased, he had put more thought into it than he expected to. “Maybe I’ll just wait until later.” This time he couldn't help but grin.
