Harley was glad she'd been able to go do errands and be back with enough time to wash her car. Barely enough time, anyway. She checked the clock on her phone as she soaped it down, ipod in her ears and dancing as she wiped. She'd already showered and dressed and all, which was probably not the best idea before washing her car, but it wasn't like it had been that dirty. It was just that Harley kinda wanted it to be especially tip-top today, because she was sort of showing it off in a way.
She was just ridiculously proud of her car, was all. Sure it guzzled gas like no other and the engine was a little loud because she couldn't afford to make it quieter yet. But it had once been little more than a frame and a rusted out engine, and now it was a freaking showpiece, not that she was biased. And she'd done it with her own hands.
It was a good day for a drive, and a good day to catch up with Cody, who she never minded seeing. Not to mention she hadn't taken the time out to just drive in ages. Maybe he'd like it as much as she did. Still shaking, Harley finished soaping down and tossed her sponge in the bucket, then reached for the hose to rinse. She was making okay time. Weather reports she'd heard on the radio on her way to the gas station had said there was a forty percent chance of rain in the evening, but maybe they'd be able to have a little fun before then. Not that she ever minded driving in the rain, but because she wasn't completely batshit they could only go so fast if it did.
